As part of an agreement with Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID), Sierra Nevada College (SNC) provides 300 hours of free tutoring for the Incline Village community each academic calendar year. SNC students have been providing tutoring services to the Incline Village community for several years now. Tutoring is provided while SNC classes are in session, which is roughly mid-August though early December and mid-January through early May. SNC tutors are well trained and provide quality tutoring to both fellow SNC students as well as to the Incline Village community.
SNC has two primary means of tutoring, drop-in hours (for Math and English only) or “by appointment”, where students can request tutoring for specific subjects, such as Biology, Chemistry, Spanish, etc. Drop-in hours are Monday through Thursday 4:00-8:00pm and Fridays 12:00-4:00pm. Students can drop-in and receive help with either Math or English during these times in the Sierra Nevada College Tutoring Center, Third Floor, Spaces 332 and 333, Prim Library, 999 Tahoe Blvd., Incline Village, NV.
Students needing assistance in subjects other than Math and English need to complete a tutoring request form, which requires a parent’s signature for anyone under 18 years of age (attached). An Incline Village resident may request help with any subject, and SNC usually has a student available to provide tutoring.
